Vintage 50s round neck button front cardigan sweater with heavily detailed beaded placket and trim, and round pearl button closure. The only tag in the sweater is the size 44. I don’t know what yarn is used for the sweater, but if I had to guess I’d say lambswool because it’s not quite as soft as cashmere but not as rough as vintage wool,. Lined. The beadwork is in a champagne gold color with some shades of brown. It is heavy and detailed. They don’t make them like this anymore. There are two small holes, one in the back of the sweater and the other at the back shoulder seam. If I were keeping the sweater, it would be an easy repair for a novice or you may choose to do it professionally or leave it as is because with the lining, it doesn’t go all the way through. I’ll leave it up to you. Laying flat measures 25” shoulder to hem and 19.5” armpit to armpit. Based on those measurements, I think it is a modern size medium, but please double check to ensure the proper fit for you.
