I 17th Century style budded cross pendant. Donated to Smithsonian Institute by John Gellatly in 1929.

SMITHSONIAN AVON tag at clasp. Lobster Clasp. Generous 30 necklace. The cross-pendant measures about 2.25 by 1.75 . The combined weight of cross-pendant and necklace is 33.5 grams. The cross-pendant is encrusted with enamel, blue and cream color on front. The reverse side is a detailed pattern of flourishes and geometric shapes. Can be worn reversible. The necklace bale is crafted into the cross pendant.
