This beautiful and unique abstract glass paperweight was created by Jim Karg. James Karg (1942 - 2018) was the glass artist brother of Rollin Karg, also a well-known glass artisan from the Midwest. I don't really know how to describe this art glass, but I'll try. On the top portion there appears to be a storm brewing, gaseous clouds in shades of blue and grey forming about a centered portion of 3 irregular spots, yellowish-white in color. On the bottom portion you'll find an abstract patterning of greyish-blue. The paperweight slopes downward and inward. The circular bottom is 1 1/2 wide, while the top is 3 5/8 wide. It's in excellent vintage condition with a tiny chip of 1/16 on the flat bottom. It does not detract from its beauty and is unseen when viewing. For the connoisseur who has a penchant of the obscure.
