Capodimonte Cherub Putti Hinged Box Italy imported by Ardalt Co.. Hand painted embossed porcelain box with cherubs/putti playing and picking flowers amongst colorful trees. Brass ornate trim, scrolled front tab with back hinge. Glossy finish inside and outside with gilt edges. This is marked for the Ardalt Company, based out of a Madison Square, NY office that imported Capodimonte after WWII until it closed in 1980.
Preowned in very good condition; hinges swing without difficulty; no clasp at tab. No chips or repairs; hand marked Ardalt, Capodimonte Italy with model number.
