NATURAL SAPPHIRE IS FORMED BY THE SAME COMPOSITION PLUS A FEW MORE AND GENERAL REFERRED TO AS CORUNDUM SUCH AS RUBY IS CORUNDUM. ABOUT THE SAME APPLIES TO THE RED STAR.
THE RING IS FROM MY COLLECTION FROM THE LATE 60's. THERE IS NO DAMAGE. KEPT IN A RING BOX WHEN NOT WORN.
