This is an antique Laundry clothes iron/sad iron / pressing iron with a removable handle so Iron base could be heated on wood-stove. The base is 7 long. The top of the base is embossed ASBESTOS SAD IRON , I believe this type of Iron was used for pressing Collars and Cuffs. Overall Good condition with signs of use.
