Vintage Chinese Opium Pillow Block, Occipital Head Rest made with Porcelain Ceramic from Jingdezhen. This type of Ceramic pillows have been used for long time in China. It is said to aid sleep, keep you cool and as a method to keep elaborate hairstyles in place.

Measures approximately 4 Tall x 8.80 length x 5.25 width. Pre-owned vintage, in good overall condition. Has minor crazing due to age. Hand crafted by Pottery workers in Antiqued traditional style with fine craftsmanship. A great piece to add to your collection of Oriental Asian decorative Arts. The porcelain underneath has tiny hairline fractures from firing in a kiln and is not considered defective.
