These pair of vases are Early American Pattern Glass, or EAPG and are considered highly collectible. These were made in Pittsburgh and is the Massachusetts Pattern, made in 1898 as part of a whole series of patterns named after the states. It is described as an “arched diamond point cane variant” and is clear with a gold band at the top. The gold trim is quite worn, and bubbles from manufacturing are also present in the base. See the last picture for those.

A bit of history about the vases: the US Glass Company was a conglomerate of 18 different companies and factories who joined together starting in 1891. Different factories focused on different kinds of glass, but by 1940, due to the Depression, fires and other events the company was down to one factory in Tiffin, Ohio. At that point the glass began to be marked Tiffin.

His small vase is 7” tall, and 3” in diameter at the top and base.
