This is a 90s Patagonia Buggies Pullover.
I believe it was an item from 89 onwards.
USA-made is extremely rare as production shifted to Asia from around 91.
Early models were made with a cotton and nylon blend shell.
It has no lining and is light and easy to wear.
It can be folded and stored in the hood, so it is convenient to carry in a bag for travel or nighttime during this season.
It can be worn casually over a T-shirt when it is chilly, or worn over a large button-down shirt with the snaps fully open, which is my personal preference.
Pair it with military pants or shorts on the bottom.
It is lightweight and waterproof, but it is a low-tech outdoor wear that is typical of early Patagonia.
The combination of emerald green and eggplant outdoor colors is heartbreaking.
It is faded, but it is a good seasoning for vintage.
USA-made L, this is not available.
Patagonia has many masterpieces such as retro cardigans, das parkas, skanolacs, essentials, R2, R4, etc., but it is a versatile item that can be paired with Dickies on the bottom, denim with reverse, Vans, military pants with Nike, etc.
I can confidently recommend this to those looking for authentic vintage Patagonia.
