Amazing vintage circa 1940s skirt marker made in the USA by W.H. Collins NYC. This tool was commonly used by tailors and seamstresses to mark hemlines. The accessory has a wooden ruler, a cast iron base and a chalk filled bottle attached to it. This little glass bottle filled with chalk slides up and down the measuring stick with a balloon on the top to squeeze the chalk out and mark where intended. This would make a wonderful gift for sewing enthusiasts,crafrers and collectors. It would make a great display for a seamstresses work office or as a vintage industrial piece display. Also, it is still functional. Please mot it is a vintage item so there are many signs of wear. Including some rust in the bottom. The rulee stick does move or loose (kot steady) when touched. Other signs of wear consistent with age. Also little cjalk residue left inside glass bottle. Measures approximately 30 tall. For more details, please study all pictures.
