This oval fruit bowl has embossed sides with delicate openwork. Decorating the interior is a grouping of pink cabbage roses, leaves, and stems. There is gold trim on the porcelain 'ribs', the two handles, and the rim (slightly worn on the handles & rim). Marked, RW in a shield; the bottom part of the mark is smeared and unreadable - this is an early Retsch Porcelain Co. mark, and underneath the shield would be, Bavaria . The Retsch Porcelain factory was founded in 1885 in Wunsiedel, Bavaria (Germany). This bowl dates from about 1907. In addition to fruit, use it for dinner rolls, bread, muffins or cupcakes! Length: 12¾ inches; width: 8½ inches; 2½ inches deep. This dish is in excellent condition, except as noted. I live in the Tampa Bay area for local delivery.
