8 Berry Bowls, Starlight Pattern, Harmony House China (Japan), Vintage

Offered is a set of 8 vintage, bright, beautiful, fine white china, fruit/dessert (sauce) bowls crafted in Japan under the Harmony House label in the hand painted Starlight pattern featuring an embossed, scalloped edge that is finished with platinum scrolling. (Fun fact: Harmony House was a brand introduced by Sears & Roebuck Company as its homewares line.) It is retired with production beginning circa 1963, but end date is unknown to me.

These beautiful midcentury bowls measure about 5 3/8” diameter x 1 3/8” high and are in good condition considering their 50+ year age. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, stains, or crazing and very little bottom wear. Very light utensil marks can be seen but only when turned to the light just so. The platinum trim does show some expected age-related wear as the photos show.

Consider these bowls to be hand wash only and no microwave due to the platinum trim. Add these lovely bowls to a Starlight collection or use them in a unique mix-and-match.
