This tie rack appears to be a functional store display for the Hollyvogue brand tie company. Presumably, a centennial commemorative made in 1949 given the wagon/miner '49er design. However, they made ties from the 20's on thru the 50's. The wagon is 9 1/2 × 4 × 7 tall. The hitch also extends 7 inches. It moves up & down and side-to-side with the wheels. The eye on the end of it needs to be anchored on a hook (in a wall, shop counter, etc.) in order to support the weight of the ties. See pics. Also be sure to zoom in on the details: pick axes, a bucket, a barrel, brakes, seats and an internal cargo hold perfect for housing tie accessories like clips & pins.
