VTG Ivory Lamberton Scammell for Essex House NYC, Set of 4 Bowls w Purple Dot
There are 4 very rare small fruit bowls made by Scammell Ivory Lamberton “Made In America Expressly for Essex House New York City” that opened in 1931 and the iconic red neon sign was hoisted to the top to become a signature part of New York City's skyline. The sign is considered to be a well-known pop culture reference and can be seen in countless films, television shows, and photographs.
It says the patterns is Ivory Lamberton which features purple geometric floral circles as well as rim, and inside ivory bowl. This was created just for The Essex Hotel restaurantware back in 1930.
Excellent condition with one tiny little dot on one Bowl, see photos. Maker’s mark on bottom of each bowl.
