Vintage Taxco Mexico HEAVY Sterling Silver & Malachite Mosaic Inlay Necklace

An impressive piece that's not for the faint of heart. I'm usually not one to drop trendy catch phrases like Statement Piece , but this necklace clearly is. The two masks are nose-to-nose and are linked together by substantial jump rings. Irregularly-shaped malachite and what I'm guessing to be black onyx chips are inlayed within the silver framework. Under a loupe, you can see the tight seams between the stones. The masks measure 3 1/4 wide x nearly 2 high and the necklace links measure 1 1/2 long x 3/8 at the widest. The well integrated box clasp is hardly noticeable. Marked on the reverse TC-107, 925, Mexico . This is a heavy piece, weighing in at 89.7 grams and has a wearable length of approximately 18 . In very good vintage condition, displaying light, age appropriate wear.
