The beer stein in the image is described as a Maders 1977 1st Edition West Germany Beer Stein. The stein is hand-painted with a cobalt blue ceramic background and features a scene of St. George fighting the dragon. The text G UND DE is visible near the base of the stein. Similar steins are described as depicting a knight drinking and toasting with others in front of a castle, with inscriptions in German.
As you can see in the pictures there is only one minor defect on the tap. Other than that this is I'm pristine condition.
