This antique carved wood by Karl Griesbaum features a whimsical whistler standing next to a lamp post. The piece is a music box with hand-painted details and intricate carvings. The figure is believed to have been produced in Germany during the 1930s and is a true original.Â
It whistles when you wind it up. The key is missing but will still wind up and whistle. The lamp doesnt work due to not able to figure out if it takes a bulb of some sort. The battery compartment is free of curosian. There is no dings or dents in the figure at all. i tried to take photos from every angle.Â
Stands about 19 inches total.Â
Again it whistles when wound up not sure if the on/off switch works due to not wanting anything to be broken. The lamp lid opens and closes without any problems. The battery compartment and back come off without ease and has zero cracks throughout the entire piece.
(missing the key) but works when you wind it up with something.Â
may need servicing due to the age of the piece.Â
