We acquired this original Lloyd Daylight 35MM Film Loader (c. 1956) from an estate. It appears little used. The crank handle was found tucked inside its compartment inside the body wrapped in a scrap of the Gordo comic strip. The body is made of Bakelite. It is in excellent condition despite some silver paint flaking, has original instruction sheet, box and crank.
The color comic-strip Gordo has the date 9/5 printed on it. Since comic strips were printed in color for Sunday editions, we think - of the 6 years September 5th was on a Sunday - the handle was tucked away in 1956, 1962, 1968, 1974, or 1980 as Gordo ended in 1985.
