This is a rare to find item
Excellent Condition- looks unused
Katherine Zabarsky Washburn, of Stowe, VT, passed away April, 2014. She was a special education teacher for 22 years. She was a talented and creative artist who specialized in pottery. She found time to continue her passion for art as a hobby while teaching. In 2000 she established Katherine Washburn Ceramics, a successful Vermont business known for its whimsical design, which employed a number of artists over the years. Her signature, petware, was shipped nationwide and sold at regional craft fairs throughout the Northeast. This is the only example of a platter this size I can find that she made and is truly a rare item.
