Enamel and Brass Stylized Cup

This beautiful cup feautes red and pink chrysanthemums with stylized leaves and stems.
The floral border of the cup rim is tramed with brass. The handle and feet of the cup are also brass, and it is exquisitely crafted. There are no cracks, chips or repairs in this piece. It measures 5.5 long by 3.5 wide and 3 tall. The shape is unique and beautiful. It's a lovely addition to your collection.
from Wikipedia: Plique-à-jour (French for letting in daylight ) is a vitreous enamelling technique where the enamel is applied in cells, similar to cloisonné, but with no backing in the final product, so light can shine through the transparent or translucent enamel. It is in effect a miniature version of stained-glass and is considered very challenging technically: high time consumption (up to 4 months per item), with a high failure rate.
