Please note that the turning knob in the picture that sticks out and controls the height of the ball head assembly is fully functional, but due to a faulty manufacturing design, the knob does not stay pressed in as intended (sticks out like in the picture). This manufactur defect does not in any way impeed on the functionality of the Tripod. If this truly bothers you, note that Peak Design can send replacement parts under warranty, but it isn't worth it in my opinion (still fully functional)
