This teapot was made by Ellgreave, a division of Wood and Sons, Staffordshire England. Vintage Ellgreave England marked in gold gilt 361/1 J. It is vintage transferware and not handpainted. Probably made around the 1970's. Lovely scrolling design around whole pot. Lovely groups of violets on front and back. Gold gilt around rim of pot, on handle, on spout and lid. Teapot is 6 high to finial and 9 wide from handle to spout. Light crazing all over teapot, including lid.
