Late 18th Century Antique Steamer Trunk

1880's - 1890's. Excellent condition steamer trunk with thickly lined fabric. Per the original lockplate reading, Eagle Lock Co Terryville Ct. Pat'd June 13, 1882 - Dec 6, 1892, it measures 24 tall x 36 long x 22 deep. All original 3 piece hinge construction for the lid, as well as working front latches, lock cover, brass corners, and wood trim are in very good original condition. No hardware is on the trunk. The lock plate modern nail or screw in it. Lock plate but no lock or key. Under it all the outer shell is covered in a skin of Artillery Green Painted Duck Cloth/Canvas . The leather handles are intact. The leather strapping is torn and will need to be replaced. This is the only thing that needs to be replaced as we have the buckles that would go on the straps. Leather edges are in great condition. Very Clean . There is no inside tray. Overall, this beautifully preserved trunk is in great condition. We used it to store extra blankets in our guest room.
