Bought this for my sister for her 50th birthday in June 1994. I spent more than I could afford at the time. She only wore gold jewelry. Tried to get picture of 14K stamp on back of Lady Bug, at the top. My camera just doesn't take close ups well. The chain is also stamped 14K/Italy.
I know she never wore it. The Lady Bug is enclosed in 14K yellow gold. She passed away two years ago. I have been holding onto items like this, thinking I might wear once or twice. Just too much to hold on to.
I see New ones on line without as much gold for 179. This is like new, red and black enamel, encased in 14K yellow gold and bought at a well known Jewelry store. JB Hudson in 1994. This is a beautiful piece of jewelry.
Perfect for layering with other gold necklaces.
I don't remember how much I paid. Really good gold. The back of ladybug is full 14K gold.
