This is a Vintage beer stein from Germany. My great aunt brought it back in 1949, so it is at least that old.
On the front it says Dem guten kinde which means To the good child .
It is 4 1/2 inches tall.
It is in excellent condition, but there is a tiny chip at the base, visible in the last picture. There is crazing, consistent with its age of nearly 75 years. The word Germany is pressed into the bottom.
Alcohol consumption in Europe by minors was widespread then. Even now, 16 year olds can buy beer and it is legal for 12 year olds to drink it in Germany.
