ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Most famous for forest hunting scenes in nature this Russian artist Graf Vladimirovich Muraviev (1861-1940) was a Noble Count by his blood lineage and his work was surprised and celebrated in Europe and Russia.
Vladimir Leonidovich Muravyov was the son of the King of Herald Leonid Mikhailovich and the grandson of the first Count Muravyov, who received his title for suppressing the uprising in Poland. Vladimir Muravyov rejected brilliant career prospects for the sake of serving art. In 1881, he left the Corps of Pages and enrolled as a volunteer student at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts.
