A piece of history in pristine condition this is a 1st edition Kimball Collection of the Apollo 17 flight crewmens view of the Earth enroute to their lunar landing on 19December1972. This is a very rare find for first edition and was given to my father who was aboard the USS Guadalcanal (FSFW.MMSC Richard J Vernon) during the recovery of the astronauts from Apollo 17 aka The Last Men on the Moon. This is one of the parts of the Shuttle Collection but probably the most breathtaking F-001 photography by NASA.
My dad said in 21 years of Navy life he saw water less than a dozen times but the Space Flight recoveries were worth coming above waterline for .
