Wow! This is a cool surrealist space-age painting. Not only are the colors striking, but the subject is interesting. Allow me to explain. At first, your eyes are drawn to the strange looking “kites” flying high over the shadow of a small distant acity painted below. But what’s going on is far from flying kites.
When you examine the back of the piece, you actually see the artist has titled the piece “Time Travel,” and has also given you a clue about the “kites”. Scribbled on the back, are two special mathematical functions when solved, results in the set of numbers that correspond to the shapes in the sky. HOW COOL IS THAT! Implied by this is that these kites are “space portals” and leads to some strange city somewhere else in the universe.
There are a couple flaws. (a couple small cracks on the left side) nothing major. Signed “FTJ 1958” With frame: 23 inches in length, 27 inches height and width is 2 inches thick with painting and white wood frame.
