Set of 5 Sone Fruit/Dessert (Sauce) Bowls, 1963 Kiyomizu Pattern, Vintage China

Offered are 5 beautiful and vintage Sone china berry/fruit bowls crafted in Japan in Sone’s Kiyomizu pattern (#1963). The pattern on these delicate but sturdy bowls features a lovely, serene, hilly setting with a pagoda and footbridge in the forefront and the essence of Mt. Fuji at a distance. These are wonderful as they appear hand painted and with gold accents and gold trim. Some claim that the pattern first appeared in 1969, some claim early 60s, but certainly it is retired. The bowls are in very nice vintage condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, stains, or crazing. There is slight to no bottom wear and minimal utensil marks only visible to the near eye and turned just so to the light. Some very slight wear can be seen in a very few areas of the gold trim, but you must really be looking for it.

Bowl diameter is 5 1/2 in. with height of 1 1/4 in. These would make nice replacement pieces or as an addition to a Sone collection or part of a mix and match set.
