1920s Antique Italian Brooch Vaseline Millefiori Glass

You could search a lifetime for a brooch like this one. It is extremely rare! Made in Italy circa 1925, this design is Italian Renaissance Revival. In most cases you will see a brooch like this is in a book or museum.

Made of mix of antiqued brass, copper, and gold-filled metal, the brooch features a large hand faceted rectangular rare Vaseline glass cab. It is faceted on the back and around the front edges and set in a custom-made saw tooth bezel.

The Millefiori canes on the face are inside the glass itself. The swirled colored canes have ribbons of gold aventurine. The frame is a twisted style with pierced edging and embellished with four flower medallions.

Medium petite in size, it is 1 1/2 wide x 1 . The brooch is in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches, scuffs, chips, or cracks to front or back of the glass. The brass is clean with wear or verdigris. The back has the original fine working safety clasp. The brooch is not signed.
