This is a vintage hand made black pottery Kuba cup made in Oaxaca Mexico, signed and numbered by the artist.
I believe this was made in the 1960s and fashioned after the Trader Vic kuba cups and kuba cups popular from the Congo at the time.
The cup measures 6.25 inches tall and is 3.25 inches across. There are no chips or cracks and the finish is a semi gloss sheen.
The bottom is signed Lama Oaxaca Mexico and signed EEN and numbered 145.
The Lama Oaxaca region of Mexico is renowned for their black art pottery and this is a wonderful piece of folk art!
