This is an exquisite piece from Royal Doulton “Carpet Seller (Hand Closed) Middle Eastern Man HN1464A. It was issued from 1960 to 1969. It was designed by Leslie Harradine. Well decorated with outstanding details. The 18th century carpet seller seems to be trying to sell his gorgeous colorful carpets. He has his arm extended and one carpet is laying on it and another breathtaking carpet is on his shoulder. He has on a red traditional middle eastern hat, and has curly black hair. His cloth are also traditional with a long black with yellow shawl and green long skirt. He has on red shoes. The features of the piece are astonishing. The colors are vibrant and beautiful. It measures 9 tall. The underside is marked with the Royal Doulton printed back stamp of the period and lot. Original price is 250.00. No original box or paperwork.
