Overprint
A technique in which strong colors are layered over a light base color. Compared to discharge printing, it can use a wider range of colors, and the overlapping of boundary colors creates a beautiful gradation.
It is suitable for realistic patterns like Japanese patterns.

Rayon crepe
A fabric made with rayon unspun yarn for the warp and rayon crepe yarn for the weft, often seen in Japanese patterns.
It is characterized by its surface texture and cool feel.
It was originally developed as a fabric for Japanese clothing.
