1930s High-Quality Montecristo Panama Optimo Style (57.5CM)

This is a 1930s Montecristo Panama hat.

Made in Montecristo, Ecuador, it is considered the pinnacle of Panama hats and takes months to complete.

I purchased it from a vintage hat store two years ago for about 80,000 yen. I am selling it because I have no occasion to wear it.

There is a crack in the front brim from the time of purchase.
There is a crack in the leather part on the inside, and the hat is generally sun-faded.

If there were no cracks, it would be worth over 150,000 yen.
It would cost over 300,000 yen to reproduce with modern technology.

When you look at the inside of the crown, the more rings you see in the weave, the finer the weave is said to be. This hat has 10 rings.

For its age, it is in good condition except for the crack in the front brim. It does not affect wear.
