When it came to musicals during the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, MGM was the best in the league by a long shot. Their musical pictures were among the best ever made, and although most of the stars from the Golden Age are no longer with us, their legacy endures thanks to video and DVD. MGM celebrated its musical heritage with THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT in 1974, subsequently followed by two sequels, in 1976 and 1994, all of which were hosted by MGM alumni. This is the 1994 sequel.
What this 6-cd set really is is an original soundtrack album set from the three THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT films; discs 1 and 2 from the first film, discs 3 and 4 from the second film, and disc 5 from the third. Disc 6 is comprised of supplementary material from the MGM library.
