This is a beautiful piece of charoite wire wrapped in Argentium Silver. Charoite is only found in the Chara River area in Siberia, and it is not easy to come by. It has an unusual swirling, fibrous appearance, sometimes chatoyant, and that, along with its intense color, can lead many to believe at first that it is synthetic or enhanced artificially. Though reportedly discovered in the 1940s, it was not known to most of the world until its description in 1978. It has since become very popular and sought after for its unique and beautiful purple coloration, chatoyance and swirling color effects.
Charoite is said to be a powerful chakra stone for opening the third eye chakra — the center of intuition, decision-making, and spiritual wisdom. Charoite also opens the highest center for spirituality: the crown chakra!
