These smooth-finished wooden train cars showcase years of experience in toy making. You'll see my love for the little details in the sliding doors on vans, the doors on circus cars, the drive-away cars on cars, the giraffes that jump out, and the work hooks on lift trucks. Most train cars have moving and/or detachable parts and are assembled with wooden dowels rather than screws or nails. All 24 are designed for children to operate and explore, yet durable enough to withstand even the most vigorous play. I include at least 8 hardwoods in each column (sugar maple, tulip, beech, ash, red oak, hickory, black cherry, elm, and black walnut come up frequently).
