The Old Course at St Andrews, often referred to as the “Home of Golf,” is one of the oldest and most iconic golf courses in the world. Golf has been played on the Links at St Andrews since around 1400 AD.
In 1764, the course was reduced from 22 holes to 18 by the Society of St Andrews Golfers, setting the standard for the modern round of golf.
