## Arvor Maree Wool Peacoat

**Arvor Maree** is a French surf brand. It all started when a group of surf enthusiasts based in Lacanau, one of France's premier surf spots, created clothing for themselves to wear. Arvor is an old Breton word meaning sea.

I bought this coat about 10 years ago because I loved the design. I haven't worn it very often, so the wool fabric is still stiff and in good condition. There is some slight pilling, but no noticeable bobbles or damage. Considering its age, I would consider it to be in good condition.

Arvor Maree has a history of being produced in the same French factories as brands like **A.P.C. and Dalton**. Even though production has moved to Portugal, the quality of the fabric and stitching remains excellent, which is another reason to recommend this coat.

The rope detailing on the button closures gives it a distinctly French design. It's a unisex design that can be worn by women. Although it doesn't have any padding or quilting, it's a light and easy-to-wear jacket coat.
