Own a piece of baseball history with this lot of 3 vintage Japanese menko cards featuring Hall of Famer Isao Harimoto.
A baseball icon, Harimoto was an 18-time All-Star & won 7 batting titles. In his career, he amassed 3,085 hits, 504 homers, 1,676 RBI, 1,523 runs, & 319 stolen bases. He's still the only player with over 3,000 career hits in Japan, & his rare combination of over 3,000 hits, 500 homers, & 300 stolen bases is only matched by Willie Mays & Alex Rodriguez in MLB.
All of this was accomplished after Harimoto survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, where he grew up, & despite a debilitating injury to his right-hand when he was a child that left the 3 middle fingers frozen in a curled position. Thankfully a baseball bat could still slid between them.
Cards are part of the JCM 11 1964 Marusan Simple Back, JCM 13C 1963 Marusho Flag Back, & JCM 57A 1961 Maruya Green Pitching Back sets, & measure about 1.75 inches wide by 3 inches tall. See pictures for cards' condition
