Rare Midcentury Modern signed Jerry Fox stained glass house-scape. Black painted wood base, 12” by 2 3/4” by 3/4” tall. Stained glass sculpture 11” long, 3 3/4” tall at chimney top. Weighs 14 ounces. Materials are glass, copper ,brass, wood, and glue. This is American Folk Art. Rare. Collectible. Not many pieces of this Folk Artist are available for sale anywhere. Excellent vintage condition. Pictures zoom in on the Jerry Fox signature and apparent symbol sign. Fox’s work is very simple and idiosyncratic. Colors he uses are orange, pale yellow, light and dark greens, golden copper, off white, and black. Fox is known for bronze trees and bushes with wooden bases. His works are concentrated in the 1960’s, like this house-scape that is also called Brooklyn Brownstone Scape. Fox was from New York City. This price is probably too high. This deceased artist never produced much, but I think it’s very collectible. Will take offers from anyone who wants this a lot and will lower price weekly.
