First edition, first printing hardcover copy of John Rogers: The People’s Sculptor by David H. Wallace (Wesleyan University Press, 1976). Biography of the life and works of the acclaimed sculptor and artist. Rare true first edition copy. With illustrations and photographs. Price clipped jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with moderate rubbing/scuffing to faces and wear around the edges - including chipping, creasing and small tears. Boards straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine remains fairly straight. Staining to top outer edge of text block, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
