Brand is Limoges. This is a lovely oval porcelain box with lid. The scene is pheasants or birds of paradise. It is very nicely Handpainted and Signed Eleanor on the bottom right of the lid. . . I verified under a magnifying glass that it was not transferware. It does not, however, specifically have the words peint main on the bottom. It is quite heavy.

* Condition: Good preowned condition. There is a dent or irregularity on the underneath edge of the lid under the gold line (see photo 10) and perhaps some shallower indentations elsewhere on lid rim. There are a few irregular areas or loss in the gold line around the edge of the lid ( see photos 11 &12). There is a bit of faint scuffing on the bottom footing.
