MrMellon presents this vintage carved and hand painted wooden Noh mask. I really don't know much at all about this category of item. I can confidently say that it has some genuine age on it, though I couldn't begin to guess if it were from the 1920's, 1950's, 1970's, etc. The mustache appears to be made from real hair, and it looks like the eyebrows once had more hair on them than they do now. The mask does not cover the entire face, which from what I understand, is the traditional style.
