This beautiful Sorrento sterling brooch seems to date from the 1960’s. It features an intricate Mother of Pearl carving of a lady’s facing right profile. Her wavy hair is pulled back with a flower. The carving is mounted on Abalone shell. The cameo is set in Sorrento sterling with a silver rope like border. SORRENTO STERLING is imprinted on the round button on the back rim of the brooch. This brooch is very versatile with a ring or fixed bail for a pendant chain and a 3/4”clasp bar for wearing as a brooch. The brooch/pendant measures 1 1/8”tall and 7/8” wide. It is in “like new” condition and comes from a pet/smoke free home.
