First edition, second printing oversized hardcover copy of The Life & Work of Dr. Alister MacKenzie by Tom Doak, Dr. James S. Scott & Raymond M. Haddock (Renaissance Gold Publishing, 2001). A very rare book on the history of gold, specifically those portions crafted by the iconic Dr. Alister MacKenzie, designer of many golf courses and patron of the sport. Richly illustrated and with photographs. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with mild rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. Faint liquid damage to interior of jacket near top of spine. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight. Some faint waviness to outer edges of text block, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
