This cute mermaid in the form of a mosaic plate is truly one of a kind.
This is the first time I did anything like this.
I cut up beautiful hand chosen glass into tiny shards and then pieces them back together again.
Somehow I’ve always liked the idea of taking something broken and picking up the pieces and putting them together in a way such that something beautiful and whole is born out of it.
That is what I did here, but I gotta tell you cutting up that glass was a bit of an undertaking and piecing it together took many hours. I may sell this sometime, I don’t know, but for now it’s in my collection, however I do take custom orders.
