Amazing vintage stylized lizard fur clip carved from faux tortoise shell lucite. He's capped with a brass top with incised designs and raised domes along his spines, so his arms legs and head seem to just barely stick out. Very sculptural looking. He could be a very stylized turtle, but I think lizard. Unfortunately he has a hard to see repaired crack in his lucite neck, only visible from the underside, and shown most clearly in the last photo. Otherwise great vintage condition. The underside of the pronged clip mechanism is marked Modele Depose Made in France and he measures 3 1/4 x 1 1/2 .
