Antique J. & G. Meakin (Hanley, England) mini tureen or gravy boat in the green Japan Pattern. It measures approximately 8 3/4 wide (including handles) x 4 7/8 long x 4 1/2 high (to the top of the lid's handle). The underplate measures approximately 7 3/4 wide x 6 long x 7/8 high. I don't see any chips, cracks, or crazing on the tureen/gravy, but the lid has some minor crazing, and a chip along the rim (not very noticeable from the top). The plate has uniform crazing and 2 chips along the rim, but the chips can only be seen when the plate is flipped over. The marking on the bottom dates this piece circa 1890.
