Mike Biggs (played by Billy Gardell) is a slightly overweight but kind-hearted Chicago police officer who, by chance, meets Molly Flynn (played by Melissa McCarthy), a similarly plump elementary school teacher, at an anonymous dating club for obese individuals. The two of them have experienced countless embarrassing incidents with their families and friends since they met and fell in love. However, behind every situation where there is neither a smile nor a cry, there is always a warm warmth. As Mike's partner Carl McMillan (played by Reno Wilson) said, the reason they have a slightly larger body is to be able to accommodate their broad hearts.
